Blue Solutions Group is an Environmental and Sustainability consultancy headquartered in Amsterdam

BSG specialises in scientific analysis, impact assessments, and legal advisory on marine oil pollution. We deliver expert reports and multidimensional evaluations for incidents affecting marine ecosystems and coastal communities. By integrating environmental sciences, advanced quantitative modelling, and legal expertise, we provide comprehensive, defensible insights that guide response strategies, environmental risk project planning, compensation and remediation processes.

Founded in 2025 by Eli Kimmerling and Dr. Igal Berenshtein, BSG emerged from recognising a critical gap: traditional assessments offer a narrow evaluation coming short of meeting today’s environmental and legal challenges. Following the addition of Ido Ben-Zeev as strategic partner, the consultancy established a framework that unites the various disciplines into an integrated reporting service.

The firm combines current academic research expertise with the agility of private sector consultancy. Our multidisciplinary approach assesses broader impacts, revealing complex interactions across impacted spheres to provide deeper, asset-specific insights. 

Our mission is to deliver actionable, science-driven insights that support smarter decisions, holistic protection of people and the environment and enhanced accountability.

BSG is currently engaged in developing its R&D department in the field of environmental monitoring of oil pollution.

Dr. Berenshtein is a quantitative marine ecologist and biophysical oceanographer with 15+ years of experience delivering advanced modelling and impact assessments for marine oil pollution.
